Pourang Pirataei’s work is marked by anti-image techniques and a free-spirited approach tied to street art and visual protest, carrying a playful, almost magical quality that both captivates and challenges viewers.

This piece depicts the shape of Iran in a minimal form, outlined in green against a blue background, with a red heart at its center. Through primary colors and simple forms, Pirataei offers a symbolic interpretation of love for the nation, blending national identity with a contemporary vision of Iranian art.

GarageCo is a silkscreen printing studio based in Tehran, Iran. It began as an experimental initiative in 2016 and by spring in 2021, launched a collaborative project with emerging artists. Now in its third phase, the ongoing project focuses on poster and paper-based print editions and has so far featured around 20 Iranian artists from across the globe.
