Syzygy is an astronomical term that makes a connection between three celestial bodies. In this work, Ala highlights how the moon, sun, and earth are required for the print to exist and be birthed. Ala’s distinctive Cyanotype technique using exposure to the Moon is a representation of his long-standing interest in the depiction of space and time.
