Hassan Hajjaj, Andy Wahloo Limited Edition Can "Lion"
Andy Wahloo limited edition large tea caddies is made in collaboration with Amine El Baroudi (The Tea Man) and began with making cans to frame Hassan Hajjaj’s photography. This concept has grown into the first release of limited edition tea caddies as collectible art objects. The artwork celebrates classic Pop art with traditional Moroccan Souk and graphics from local packaging.
The inspiration of the Lion Edition Can comes from a Moroccan Match Box. Hassan Hajjaj is a collector of found objects, tins and cans. His repurposing of everyday, disposable items is visible in his bespoke frames.
Photographer, designer and filmmaker Hassan Hajjaj has strong ties to both Morocco and the UK. Born in the fishing town of Larache, Morocco in 1961 Hassan moved to London aged 12. Growing up immersed in London's club culture as it was emerging and taking shape during his teen years heavily influenced Hajjaj's practice and approach to creativity.
