Pouran Jinchi Gift Bundle

Regular price Dhs. 710.00

Bringing together a limited-edition print by Pouran Jinchi and a monograph exploring her practice, they offer an introduction to Jinchi’s distinctive visual language, engaging with form, repetition, and abstraction. Her practice moves across drawing, painting, sculpture, and installation, frequently using ink, graphite, copper, and stitched paper to “write without words.

Pouran Jinchi's monograph offers the first expansive reading into the nearly 25-year-long practice of the Iranian-born American artist. Helping to reimagine the engagement of Persian calligraphy within a contemporary art discourse, this title follows a prolific career, examining work that has been exhibited across the world in solo and group presentations and produced across varied media. Published by Akkadia Press and The Third Line

Released on the occasion of her solo show, Fly Like Dandelions, Pouran Jinchi was inspired to embark on this new body of work, after reading an article titled Great Climate Migration in The New York Times. The article tells the story of Jorge A., a Guatemalan farmer forced to flee due to climate change's impact on agriculture. Jinchi's inspiration for this series stems from landscapes affected by climate change, such as ghost forests and arid lands.
