Based in Tehran, Maryam Farshad (b. 1984) holds a BA and MA in Painting from Tehran University of Art, where her research explored the relationship between modern cosmology and contemporary art.

Her silkscreen works reflect on the life of the earth within the expanse of the sky— a narrative shaped by generations through stories and poems. Silkscreen printing provides her a medium to reveal two worlds, seemingly separate yet deeply connected; a space where natural layers, transformed over time, align and unveil their hidden bonds.

GarageCo is a silkscreen printing studio based in Tehran, Iran. It began as an experimental initiative in 2016 and by spring in 2021, launched a collaborative project with emerging artists. Now in its third phase, the ongoing project focuses on poster and paper-based print editions and has so far featured around 20 Iranian artists from across the globe.
