Al Hassan Elwan is a multidisciplinary designer, architect and Creative Director, born in 1994, in Cairo,Egypt. He has recently moved to Los Angeles and completed a master’s degree in architecture with a focus on media studies from SCI-Arc. He is the founder of POSTPOSTPOST, a brand that produces films,publications and fashion on the edges of the cultural vanguard while simultaneously building an art movement. POSTPOSTPOST has garnered a following on Instagram by posting contemporary
cultural commentary, niche content and avant-garde theory in the format of memes. It is followed by Arca, DIS, Shumon Basar, Holly Herndon, Jack Self, NewModels, Jak Ritger, Katharina Korbjuhn among many. His essay, In Defense of the Edgelord, is published on DoNotResearch. Ruba Al-Sweel is a multidisciplinary creative with a practice rooted in writing and research focused on online movements and digital communications. She produces text-based video works that reference pop culture. Layering written and visual symbols, she parodies mass media by exaggerating certain aspects of contemporary society. She has published in journals, magazines and books on digital humanities with a focus on the Middle East; her work has appeared in the Brooklyn Rail, Art Asia Pacific, VICE, DoNotResearch among others. She holds a master’s degree in media and creative industries from SciencesPo, Paris
